All Lies
Audible Audiobook
– Unabridged
"I come from a long line of idiots."
Those were the last words his father uttered before dying, and from what he knew of his family tree and the unfortunate end that came to so many of his ancestors, Del Honeycutt couldn't disagree. What he didn't know was that his family held dark secrets - secrets that were about to come crashing down upon him.
A seemingly innocent date gone tragically wrong plunges Del into a web of murder, lies, greed, and a hidden fortune dating back to a crime committed 85 years earlier by his great-grandfather. Accompanied by Sabrina, the sister of Del's brutally murdered date, a violent journey of discovery and fear begins. Pursued by vicious killers intent on eliminating anyone with knowledge of the 85-year-old crime, their only hope of survival is to find the reason behind the original crime and why, decades later, someone is still willing to kill to keep it hidden. But Sabrina is concealing a monstrous lie of her own. Is she who she says she is?

- Reviewed in the United States on February 29, 2024I received a complimentary electronic copy of this the first in the Lies series of novels, from TheFussyLibrarian, BookAdrennaline, and the author, Andrew Cummingham. Thank you all for sharing your hard work with me. I have read All Lies of my own volition, and this review reflects my honest opinion of this work. I am pleased to recommend Andrew Cunningham to friends and family. He writes a tight tale with good people and exciting action that will keep you up nights. I thoroughly enjoyed Sabrina and Del, Mo and Seymour, and I'm excited about this series. Andrew Cunningham writes a fine mystery, basically unputdownable so be prepared to go without sleep for a day or two. The series is on Kindle Unlimited, so I will perhaps be sleepless for days. If you love an exciting mystery peopled with responsible, competent heroes and heroines, Cunningham is your go-to author, as well as mine.

- Reviewed in the United States on June 10, 2024On vacation and enjoying the characters and mysteries one book a day. Author develops a well rounded group of characters and keeps them in play throughout all the books. Mysteries are multi level and I enjoy that I don’t see where they are going.
- Reviewed in the United States on July 4, 2023Fast, fun read. Reminds me of Cussler or Grisham's novels...semi-plausible fantasy, lots of action, some violence, some romance, satisfying conclusion. Starts a series, but it's not a cliffhanger.
- Reviewed in the United States on January 11, 2020If you have a day or two with nothing pressing to do, pick this story up. Del is a doofus, but thoroughly believable and smart. You really want to root for him. Sabrina I was not quite sure about. She SEEMED to be true enough, but all through the book, I had my doubts. The secondary characters were also fun, believable. I always appreciate when the author takes the time for the readers to get to know who they'll be dealing with.
Overall? This isn't Crime and Punishment, in a literary sense. There IS a mystery, some espionage, a touch of romance, and some welcome humor.

5.0 out of 5 stars Great mystery adventure!
I thoroughly enjoyed this book. I really liked the characters - the hapless Del Honeycutt and the beautiful, popular mystery writer, plus a cast of villains - all chasing a mystery that started in 1933 with their grand - or great grandfathers. There were so many twists in this story, one set of gangsters after another, that the truth, when Sabrina and Del finally found it, wasn't they expectec. I loved the character of Sabrina in particular - a strong woman bourne out of some terrible experiences. I didn't realise this was the first in a long series, but I definitely would like to read more of this author's works

5.0 out of 5 stars "You come from a long line of idiots!"
If anyone else but his father had said that I am sure that Del Honeycutt would have been pretty put out, but since it was his father's last words to him, he accepts it with grace and good humour. An 85 year old mystery that turns his life upside down in all ways possible and Del carries on as if this was always his chosen path in life. A fantastic story with great characters that I personally had fun getting to know a little more as each story progressed. Highly recommended.

5.0 out of 5 stars Suspense, drama and mystery
Another great read by A.C
Really enjoyed the character development and the roller coaster of events which followed.
A good beginning, middle and end. One of those books you don't want to quite finish straight away, so you can savour it a bit longer.
Will definitely read more by A.C

4.0 out of 5 stars 🫣
I think this book started out really strong. Felt like I was going on circles at times but I guess it was the same for the characters trying to solves the mysteries. It was definitely intriguing enough to keep me reading.
