Puertorriquenos Who Served With Guts, Glory, and Honor: Fighting to Defend a Nation Not Completely Their Own
Audible Audiobook
– Unabridged
Puerto Rico is a commonwealth of the United States. Many men and women from Puerto Rico have served in the United States military and protected us from harm. In many cases they have not received the honor they are due. This book is written with the intent of giving respect and honor to the many Puerto Ricans who have fought gallantly in our military. It just may open your eyes to the service of those who cannot call the United States their own. Give respect and honor to all who served!

- Reviewed in the United States on October 20, 2016Many Americans do not know that Puerto Ricans are US citizens and we have defended America worldwide even though when we live on the island we can not vote for the individuals who send us to war. Puerto Ricans have served America with distinction, for example heroes like Colonel Virgil Miller from San German, Puerto Rico who lead the the 442d Regimental Combat Team, a unit made up of Nisei, second generation Japanese Americans during World War II. Don't forget the mighty 65th Infantry Regiment who protected the rear as the Marines and Army units fought their way out of a Chinese trap and withdrew from Chosin Reservoir to Hungnam harbor during the Korean War.
- Reviewed in the United States on April 10, 2015This is a precise, highly authoritative documenting of the experience of Puerto Rican soldiers in the US military. Tony "The Marine" Santiago is a decorated US Marine, who has created over 600 Wikipedia articles on Puerto Rican culture, government and history - particularly military history.
This book is a must-read for anyone searching a first-person account of Puerto Rican service and sacrifice in the US military. It is written in a direct, unmediated, factual and straightforward manner. Highly recommended reading.
