Inside stories you find little sparkling gems. One of these treasures from The Station Series is the character of Niles. This novella is a nice companion piece to the overall series, giving one of my favorite characters more depth, history, and empathy.

I'm not a fan of novelettes (because with every story I like I want it to give me more and more details), but I really like the Station Series. This installment in the series isn't as detailed as I would have liked as it delves into the thoughts of Piper's intake specialist, Niles.

Almost everything I learned in the first two books is repeated in the Niles Novelette. It is, however, still intriguing as you'll want to know as much as you can about the Station.

Again, this book is telling the same story in the station series from another characters view.

As novelette, Niles is all its supposed to be, short and sweet. As a reader, more of Niles' story would have been great, but I guess I'll just have to be patient and wait for the next Station Series book!

I received the book with an alert on my Kindle app.. I also had a series of things to do before noon. But…curiosity overwhelmed my sense of commitment. I reasoned I would just scan a page or so to get a feel for the story.

Like a large bag of salty potato chips, I found I couldn’t eat just one. One paragraph flowed into the next until I was on the final page. I really enjoyed it. (Oh well. Schedules were meant to be adjusted.) This is my first exposure to the The Station Series, but I will now go to the beginning and read them all.

Another wonderful addition to the Station series. I loved Dawson's take on this idea from the very first book in the series. Very cool to see how another character deals with the transition. The chance at redemption really appeals to me. Well done!!!

Nice to get to know niles more and get his version. Just wish it was longer because I think there's more to him and he was quote an important person in the main stories but still a good read.
